Yolanda Moayedi, President/Director
Yolanda Moayedi serves as President & Treasurer for Fighting For Children, Inc. Yolanda founded Fighting For Children in 2008 after she and her husband had the privilege of meeting a young boy who was undoubtedly lost in a system that could not provide him with the love, security and stability that every child deserves. They made a pact at that time to utilize their expertise and media resources to bring awareness to the needs of children.
Mrs. Moayedi has been president of MKM Knockout Promotions, LLC since 2002. As co-founder of an international company that produces professional Muay Thai events for television, she has helped develop an international media platform that includes Pay Per View, Video On Demand, Mobile, ipTV, and the selling of television license rights worldwide.
Kate Vaughn, M.A.T., Secretary/Director
Kate Vaughn serves as Secretary and Director at Fighting For Children, Inc. Kate brings her experience to the organization from participating in numerous fundraisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where she successfully raised funds and was a mentor for other team members. Kate has also volunteered for DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) and is an Administrative Team Member for the organization. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for DMAT and has deployed to several hurricane disaster sites including Hurricane Katrina. Kate is currently an elementary school teacher at Shore Acres Elementary School and teaches first and second grade students, including special needs students.
Kate has played an instrumental role in the production of televised events for MKM Knockout Promotions, LLC and has successfully leads by example. Kate is an Honors Graduate of Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY where she obtained an A.S. in Business Administration. Kate received her B.S. in Communication, Minor in Business Management from the University of Albany, Albany, NY and then obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2009. Kate received the 2008 Award for Educator of the Year by the Pinellas County Teacher’s Association.
